Sgt. James Edmund Harrison the son of Edmund James Barton and Pleasance Louisa Harrison of Catforth, Lancashire. 

He became a member of the Glider Pilot Regiment. He was killed on 27 June 1943 whilst serving in N.Africa flying a Hadrian with Arthur Higgins, when the tail fell off during move to Oran coast Their South Staffordshire Regiment soldiers passengers were also killed:

He was laid to rest in the Enfidaville War Cemetery grave VI.A.7-21.
