Jonathan Scrivener (Scriv) joined the Parachute Regiment straight from School in 1990, he passed out with 556 Platoon in September of 1990 from Depot Para Aldershot and was posted to B Company, 3^rd Battalion, who were the residential infantry Battalion based in Palace Barracks, Belfast.  He joined the Patrols Platoon in 1994 and served in that Platoon/Patrols Company in every rank up to CSM.  Scriv has served time at Para Coy, Infantry Training Centre as a Cpl and Sgt and was a CSgt, Jungle Warfare Instructor.

He has deployed on numerous Operational tours including 5 tours of Northern Ireland, Iraq (Patrols/Recce Pl Sgt on Op TELIC), 3 tours of Afghanistan (Rifle Coy CSM on 2 Op Herrick’s 4 and 8), including an attachment to American Special Forces and RQMS (T) on Op HERRICK 13. Scriv was Company Sergeant Major of E Company 3 PARA on Op H4 in MUSA QALEH.  He was the WO1(RSM) of the 4^th  Battalion The Parachute Regiment.

Jonathan Scrivener Commissioned into the Parachute Regiment in 2013 and has completed appointments as the RCMO, MTO, QM(T) and QM.

He completed an IG2 Staff appointment as SO2 J5 Airborne Plans at 16X.
