Having come from 1 Para Mortars to 23 PFA via a short spell in 5 Field Ambulance in Preston. I settled down to a good military and medical career with the medics of 23 PFA.Although a major eye opener in many respects, I found the work load greater than that of any unit I had been in previously. I would go as far as to say that 23 PFA was the higlight of my military career, both personally and professionally.
The friends I made whilst there are (as with many Airborne units) the family I have today and no doubt in the future.
