Gunner Leslie George Larkin, son of William John and May Julia Larkin, of Birmingham served with 1st Airlanding Anti-Tank Battery, Royal Artillery. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.Gunner Larkin died on 21 September 1944, aged 21 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
