248857. Lieutenant (Q.M.) Reginald Samuel Cole.
127 th Parachute Field Ambulance, R.A.M.C.
Period 1 Apr – 2 may 45.
For Ops ‘EARLSDON’ the Bde Gp had to be prepared to be employed as a weapon of opportunity. From a medical aspect this necessitated very flexible planning and extremely careful collection, sorting and packing of medical stores. By great industry and efficiency Lt (QM) Cole made all the necessary preparations, including the evolving of new methods. Since Nov 42, Lt (QM) Cole has given his best; he has carried out two parachute operations and is as efficient in action as out of action. His cheerfulness and resource have been an example to his unit.
