On the morning of 25 August 1954 a party of 3 officers (under Major C, O'N. Wallis, MC and D/Sergt. Lawrence BEM,), and 160 Other Ranks left Aldershot, crossed London in transport and left Victoria at 0900hrs in the Folkstone boat-train. They took part in the "Tenth Anniversary of the Liberation of Paris". This information sourced from the October 1954 edition of The Pegasus Journal.
