Robert Henry Hill served with 2nd Battalion Ox and Bucks Light Infantry and is believed to have fought with the battalion during the Normandy campaign.He served as a Platoon Sergeant during Operation Varsity, the Rhine Crossing, in March 1945 and was wounded in action .
