No special clothing was available for the JSFTT who made do with standard smocks and windproofs. Many items such as goggles, gloves and twin altimeters were bought through local purchase because they were not available from Army supplies.Several modifications were made to the equipment including the reserve assembly, the bergan rucksack and harnesses to enable the JSFTT to conduct its evaluation and development work. The team used C9 (28 foot steerable) and MC1 (35 foot steerable) parachutes on the jumps.
