Keith Hender joined Junior Para Company at Malta Barracks in 1963.Bandsman Hender was then posted to The 3rd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (3 PARA) until 1977.
Colour Sergeant Hender was posted to The 1st Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (1 PARA).
In August 1980, he was posted to 2nd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment as the band Sergeant Major, after three years he posted to the Army Apprentice College at the Army Cadet College.
Warrant Officer 2 Hender retired in 1988.
