John Gregson Rhind served with Support Company 2nd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (2 PARA) in the late 1950s, after passing Parachute Course 425 at Abingdon in July 1956.During his Airborne service he took part in the deployments to Cyprus, Egypt and Jordan and was awarded the GSM for Cyprus and the Middle East.
