Private Mark Peter Herman, son of Simon and Ester Herman, of Westminster, London, served with 13th (South Lancs) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Allied response to the Ardennes offensive in Winter 1944-5.Private Herman died on 4 January 1944, aged 19 years old. He is now buried at Hotton War Cemetery, Luxembourg.
