Private Lawrence Frederick Beach, son of Arthur and Edith Mary Beach, of Hull, served with 13th (South Lancs) Parachute Battalion.Private Beach successfully completed his parachute training at Ringway on 3 December 1943. It was noted that he was a "very good" jumper.

He served in Normandy and Ardennes.  

Private Beach died on 5 January 1945, aged just 18 years old. He is now buried at Hotton War Cemetery, Luxembourg.
