Back to Airborne Forces Experimental Establishment Photographs

Trials were conducted by the Airborne Forces Experimental Establishment on a converted Fairy Barracuda with a pod attached to each main wing. Each pod, which could fit two parachutists, contained a trap door operated by the pilot. The cramped conditions of the pods made them impractical and the concept was not used operationally.
