James Stanley Cook served in the Green Howards prior to volunteering for airborne forces in World War II.He qualified as a military parachutist on course 152, which ran in February 1945, and subsequently served with 22nd Independent Parachute Company, a pathfinder unit.
James Cook passed away in March 2014.
