1 Platoon, A Company, 2 Para in Normandy Barracks, Aldershot about 1972.
The Platoon Sergeant standing centre rank far left is Jackie Bourne MM, the Corporal kneeling to his left was Ian Wallace, and the Lance Corporal Charlie Tofts.
Kneeling 6th from right is Norrie Porter who was wounded at Warren Point. Jim Whitehouse is next to him on the left. Next but one to Jim’s left is Stan Atkinson and on the end is a lad from Wolverhampton nicknamed ‘Blossom’.
Standing next to Jackie Bourne is L/Cpl Kaufman, third from left is Mick Lucy from Southern Ireland. Next left to him is Tommy something (played football for Cardiff City but was a Geordie).
Back row from 2nd from left is L/Cpl Bertie Barrass, to his left was a German lad, 6th from left back row is Trevor Bailey, 2nd from the end is ‘Click Cocking’ and far right is Taff Robinson.
