Step 1

Having parachuted in and the canopy caught in the upper branches of a tree, the man secures the free end of the webbing harness to the tree

Step 2

He then removes his personal weapon (in this case an Owen machine carbine) from the valise

Step 3

Next, he removes the 200’ roll of webbing from the valise and allows it to fall to the ground.

Step 4

Having lowered the webbing, he replaces his personal weapon in the valise and releases his parachute harness.

Step 5

Leaving the parachute in the upper branches of the tree, the man abseils down the webbing.

Step 6

Having reached the ground, he removes the harness and moves off.
