Anthony Brown completed basic training at Keogh Barracks in Ash Vale in July 1983. In September 1983 Anthony completed the all arms selection course for P Company at Depot Para and completed the all arms parachute course at Brize Norton.
Anthony served with the Parachute Clearing troop of 16 Field Ambulance RAMC at Mons Barracks until 23 Field Ambulance reformed in 1985 and later became 23 Parachute Field Ambulance (1986). During this time Anthony was attached to HQ Coy of 2 Para in Northern Ireland (1984/85) as well as supporting various airborne exercises.
In 1987 Anthony was posted to Hong Kong and served for 2 years before being posted to Germany. Anthony also served as the medical instructor at 21 SAS(V) in London, Medical Centre SNCO at 7 Para RHA and various non airborne postings.
After completing 'Black Serpent' Anthony was posted back to 23 PFA and served with 'Med Troop' until the unit moved to Colchester. He was then posted to 7 Para RHA, and finished his military career with a TA medical unit in the South West of England.
