I am compiling a list of those members of the 1st battalion of the King's Regiment (Liverpool), who served as Chindits on Operation Thursday. I have a Pte. 14340612 Robson. R, who was known to have been at the Blackpool Stronghold in May 1944 on my list and I would like to know if Robert W A J Robson is the same person. The name and Army Number were taken from the 1st King's Defence Medal Roll which gives only single initials for those listed. Given Robert Robson's Chindit service and his joining the 15th (King's) Parachute Battalion, I would think that it possible that they are one and the same. Could someone please confirm? Thank you.
