Private Robert D Donalson, son of Joseph and Edith Donalson, of Felling, Gateshead, Co Durham, served with 1st Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Private Donalson died on 22 September 1944, aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
