Sergeant Robert Albert Bonsey was the son of Robert Harold and Minnie Bonsey, and husband of Iris Patricia Bonsey, of Cwmbran, Monmouthshire. He served in D Flight of a Squadron from 1st Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Sergeant Bonsey died on 24 September 1944, aged 25 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
