Private Norman Kenyon

Norman Kenyon, son of Walter and Rebecca Kenyon, of Pemberton, Wigan, Lancashire, served in the Welch Regiment, and then volunteered for the airborne forces.

Private Kenyon attended parachute course 3 at RAF Ringway from 5 to 13 December 1941. He was then posted to the 1st Battalion, the Parachute Regiment and took part in Operation Torch in North Africa.

Pte Kenyon was Killed in Action on 5 February 1943, aged 20. He is commemorated on the Medjez-El-Bab memorial.
