Sergeant Laurence A L Cook

Sergeant Laurence Arthur Lavington Cook, son of Henry George L and Helena Cook, of Parkstone, Dorset, served with 10 Flight, G Squadron of 1st Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment. He took part in Op Market Garden, bound for Arnhem in September 1944.

Sergeant Cook died when his aircraft crashed in Holland enroute to Arnhem on 17 September 1944, aged 23 years old. He is now buried at Bergen-Op-Zoom War Cemetery, in the Noord-Brabant region of Holland.
