Sergeant John Sheridan Foy Hamilton was the son of Robert and Margaret Hamilton, of Kirkcaldy, Fife, and husband of Janet Carr Polson Hamilton, also of Kircaldy. He served with 1st Parachute Battalion and took part in the invasion of Sicily, during Op Husky.
Sergeant Hamilton died on 14 July 1943, aged 30 years old. He is now buried at Catania War Cemetery, Sicily.
