Sergeant John Davie Taylor, son of John Davie Taylor and Christina Flora Taylor, of Giffnock, Renfrewshire, served with 1st Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Sergeant Taylor died on 22 September 1944, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
