Sergeant Geoffrey Alan Briggs, son of William and Ann Briggs, of Nottingham served with E Squadron, 2nd Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem during Op Market Garden.
He died on 22 September 1944 aged 22 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
