Staff Sergeant Everitt Hildred Firth, son of James Edgar and Florence Firth, of Yeadon, Yorkshire. He served with C Squadron 2nd Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Staff Sergeant Firth died on 22 September 1944, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
