Staff Sergeant Dennis Cartlidge was the son of Stanley and Alice Cartlidge, and the husband of Margaret Eliza Mary Cartlidge, of Ensbury Park, Bournemouth, Hampshire. He served with G Squadron 9 Flight, 1st Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment.
Staff Sergeant Cartlidge died on 18 September 1944, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
