Private Cyril C Nicholls

Private Cyril Charles Nicholls, son of Mrs H E L Austin, of Bradford, Yorkshire, served with 1st Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Private Nicholls died on 17 September 1944, aged 27 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, near Nijmegen.
