Staff Sergeant Bernard Drurey, son of Wilfred and Sarah Louisa Drurey, of Wakefield, Yorkshire, served with 2nd Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
He died on 25 September 1944, aged 21 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
