Private Alfred Raymond Cort, son of Mr and Mrs A Cort, and husband of Isabel Margaret Cort, of Pontypool, Monmouthshire. He served with 1st Parachute Battalion and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
He died on 19 September 1944, aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
