Staff Sergeant John William Robert Harris served with 1st Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment. He took part in the glider insertion to the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
He died on 18 September 1944, aged 28 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
