Sergeant Herbert George Digby Reid was the son of Herbert Ordish and Edith Reid, and husband of Alice Phoebe Elizabeth Reid, of Lower Edmonton, Middlesex. He served with 1st Parachute Battalion and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
He died on 25 September 1944, aged 29 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
