Private George H Hurst, son of George Albert and Nellie Hurst, of Chingford, Essex, served with 1st Parachute Battalion. He took part in the North African campaign, during Op Torch.
Private Hurst died on 5 February 1943, aged 23 years old. He is now buried at Medjez-el-Bab War Cemetery, Tunisia.
