Charles Baillie Graham the son of William and Elizabeth Graham, of Dunoon, Argyllshire, enlisted into the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and transferred to the Royal Artillery before volunteering for airborne forces.
Private Graham successfully completed his training at Ringway on course 24 from 23 to 30 August 1942, he was posted to Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion The Parachute Regiment.
He went with the battalion on Operation Torch in North Africa.
Pte Graham was killed in action on 23 May 1943, aged 20. He is buried at Le Petit Lac Cemetery, Algeria.
