Graham Paul Bolt enlisted into the Parachute Regiment in March 1972 and Passed Out of P Company with 378 Platoon on 11 August 1972.
Pte Bolt was posted to the 2nd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (2 PARA) and went straight to Northern Ireland.
He then served in Denmark, Malaya, Turkey, the Trucial States , Jamaica, Germany, Gibraltar, Norway, Berlin and Kenya.
Corporal Bolt went on Operation Corporate, The Falklands Campaign in 1982 and fought at Goose Green and Wireless Ridge.
He then served in Belize, Kenya, Muscat and Oman.
Acting Sergeant Bolt served the majority of his military career with either Support Coy or Anti-Tanks Platoon, 2 PARA. Although before he retired in 1994 he was posted to The 1st Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (1 PARA) for his last 9 months of service as 2 PARA were posted to Palace Barracks for two years.
