Raymond Chudley served with the Signal Platoon of HQ Company, 1st Parachute Battalion, before transferring later to 'R' Coy during three years from October 1944 to 1947, and served in Palestine from April 1946 to July 1947.
He then joined 5th Scottish Battalion until March 48.
