Staff Sergeant Thomas Walter Stewart, son of David H H and Marion C Stewart, of Glasgow, served with 1st Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Staff Sergeant Stewart died on 23 September 1944, aged 23 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
