Javier A 'OJ' Ojeda joined Para Depot in July 1995 with 604 Pl. Passed out from Catterick in Aug 1996 with 609/10 (Bryan Budd VC same pln)
Joined 1 Para immediately and stayed there until Feb 2005 when he left the Army.
Initially OJ was in A company, then Gun's with a brief spell in B Company for an Ireland tour. The vast Majority of his time in 1 Para was spent in the HMG Pln.
Served in Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Sierra Leone (Op Barras) & Iraq.
OJ also was awarded The Civilian Service Medal - Afghanistan - whilst contracting and working with the Serious Organised Crimes Agency (SOCA) now the National Crimes Agency (NCA) in Afghanistan. Some personel get it for working with the FCO as Security Contractors.
