In 2013 RHQ The Parachute Regiment established an office for information and advice for serving soldiers, veterans and their families and is intended to provide information on the assistance available from the Parachute Regiment and other charities.
The larger Service charities are able to access a huge welfare network and, as well as providing direct assistance, can signpost those in need to a range of specialist Service and non-Service charities, Local Authorities and Government agencies who may also be able to help.
Training, education and employment are key elements of successful transition to civilian life. Advice and information on training and employment, including the latest job opportunities from a variety of recruitment agencies, some of which specialise in recruiting ex Service personnel are available va links to these providers on the Welfare webpage so that you can visit their websites for further information and opportunities.
Mental health is a significant issue for many Service personnel and veterans. It can emerge in anyone, at any time, regardless of age, experience or rank and can make life very hard for individuals and their friends and families. There is help available.
