Sgt Ringway used to come and stay with my Auntie and Uncle whilst on leave, in the small village of Combe in Berkshire. He was a right character. we knew him as Noddy. He used to come in the house. I have some pictures of him on leave.

Ringway was presented to me on Airborne Forces Day 1962 by Brig (Retd) Hill. The handler of Bruneval (Red Ellis) looked after Ringway, since as a boy soldier I was not allowed to care for him full time.
