British Army Training Unit Suffield (BATUS) went on exercise in Alberta, Canada. Around 350 troops, primarily 2 PARA and 16 Air Assault Brigade, trained alongside Canadian Forces including members of The 3rd Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.

The objective of the exercise was to rehearse how to 'fight tonight' on a modern battlefield dominated by drones, artificial intelligence (Ai) and electronic warfare.

Anti-Tank Platoon trialled fast moving 'Sting e-bikes' to support heavy gear like the 'Javelin' anti-tank missiles over long distances. Troops used Ai enabled systems such as 'Cain' communications network and 'Cobalt', an Ai enabled network. In addition to the Cobalt Ai  system, troops utilized Scorpio 1000 FPV and Puma drones.
