Peter Colthup also listed as 'Coulthrop' in many documents, was a member of The Glider Pilot Regiment and took part in Op. Market garden in September 1944. 

He was scheduled to take part in The Second Lift, but after a forced landing eventually flew in The Third Lift. His glider chalk list was 934, 24 Flt., which was destined for DZ 'X'. His glider transported elements of AB Div. HQ, 1st Para Bde. After days of fighting Peter managed to return over the river.

Peter sadly passed away at the age of 103 on 5 January 2026.
