Christopher Steven "Burt" Burtenshaw served with 3 PARA, A Company, 1 Platoon, during Op Herrick 13 at Cp Qudrat as lead scout. After he returned to the UK, Chris passed the D Company Patrols cadre in 2011, went on to  serve with patrols until discharge in 2013.

Chris was awarded the Operational Service medal for Afghanistan and The NATO Medal ISAF in April 2011. 

His profile picture would have used if Christopher had died in service. It was known as a 'death photo'.
