2^nd Lt. David Ronald Davis 249214, was the son of Harry and Hilda Marguerite Davis. Born 15 February 1919, in Newport, Wales.

Previously served as rank of Sgt with 11 SAS and 1^st Para Bn, U Coy, 12 Pln in the UK, with service number 4078194. Discharged for commission 16/10/42. His commission to 2^nd Lt. was recorded in The London Gazette on 17/11/42.

Seconded into 3^rd Para Bn. Possibly under went another session of jump training.

KIA 20/12/42 during Op. Torch in N. Africa. Aged just 23. No known grave, but remembered on Face 19, Medjez-el-Bab Memorial in Tunisia.
