British and Commonwealth personnel, as well as UK allies have, in the course of service with Airborne Forces often distinguished themselves in the call of duty.

The following provides a brief list of the most common awards. This list is not definitive, or intended to be in order of precedence, but indicates the gallantry and distinguished service medals most commonly awarded to Airborne Forces personnel.

Gallantry Medals

Over the course of service with Airborne Forces, many have received gallantry awards to recognise their distinguished service in combat. These include:

In 2009, the Elizabeth Cross was introduced, to recognise the families of those who had lost loved ones in conflict.

International Gallantry Awards

In recognition of their distinguished service with British allies in combat, a number of Airborne Forces personnel have received foriegn gallantry awards, including the following:

Civil and Military Recognition Awards

In order to appoint men and women who have distinguished themselves in services for the public good, many of the following have been awarded to Airborne Forces personnel. This include:
