After volunteering for airborne forces, Thomas Harry Thistleton served with the Oxford and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, 2 (Airborne) Battalion.He was killed on Operation Varsity (The Rhine Crossing) on 16 April 1945 and is now buried at Hanover War Cemetery, Germany.
