William Grundy was the son of William and Ellen Grundy and husband to Winifred May Grundy, of Haydock, Lancashire.Lance Sergeant Grundy served with 3rd Airlanding Anti-Tank Battery, Royal Artillery in Palestine.

He died on the 24 January 1946 and is now buried in Ramleh War Cemetery, Israel.
