Kenneth Roberts was a medic with The Royal Army Medical Corps and  then joined The 127 Parachute Field Ambulance, on 1 October 1945.

A month later he was posted to The 5th Battalion (Scottish) Parachute Regiment. He was parachute jump trained on Course B177 at RAF Ringway. This course ran between 18 August and 5 September 1945. His instructor noted this about his performance: 

"Good. Quiet type. Performed well, discipline good"

15/03/45 posted to 9 Kings Primary training Centre in Blackpool

25/04/45 posted to No.2 AAC Training Centre at Parkhurst Bks

28/07/45 posted to AAC Depot on Isle of Wight

07/09/45 posted to Holding battalion at RAF Ringway

01/10/45 transferred to The Royal Army Medical Corps and posted to 126 Para Field Ambulance

02/10/45 posted to 5th Battalion (Scottish) Parachute Regiment

08/04/48 Released to Army Reserve

Discharged from Reserve Liability 30 June 1959                         

Kenneth saw overseas service with The Middle East Force (Palestine), between  11 October 1945 to 3 February 1947.
