Sidney Bernard Smith was the son of Henry Albert and Eliza Rosina Smith, of Dartford, Kent.He successfully completed his training at Ringway on 12 November 1942.
Private Smith was posted to 2nd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment and served in Italy.
He died on 14 July 1943 and is now commemorated at the Cassino Memorial, Italy.
