Colin Murray was the son of Malcolm and Hannah Murray, of Maryhill, Glasgow.He successfully completed his parachute training on 5th July 1945 and it was noted that he had an “excellent spirit, very keen”.
Private Murray was posted to the Reserve Battalion before being transferred to 5th Battalion, The Parachute Regiment where he served in Palestine.
He was killed on 30th July 1946 and is now buried at Ramleh War Cemetery, Israel.
